India Gate in Delhi

India Gate was built as a tribute to 90,000 Indian soldiers who fallen at the time of First World War as well as in Afghan war of 1919. This triumphal arch of red sandstone is more than 48m high with 26m height under the arch. The name of soldiers who passed away at the time of wars is engraved on the walls. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum in Maharashtra.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum in Maharashtra previously known as Prince of Wales Museum. The architect selected to craft it was George Wittet. The museum is a blend of Indian as well as European architecture. It is built of basalt rock and it has three floors. The balconies are salient and inlay work is as good as in the Mughal palace. Construction was completed in 1915 but the building first served as a center of social assistance to children, then a military hospital during the First World War. Then it was again dedicated to the museum officially and opened in January 10, 1922. The rooms of the museum encompass varied and rare collections. Objects from the Indus civilization, sculptures from the time of Gupta and Maurya (early AD), as well as the Buddhist statues. Monument & Heritage of Mumbai

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, formerly Victoria Terminus was begun in 1878 under the orders of the British architect FW Stevens, and completed in 1888. However the station was open for the public on the day of the year 1882. In 1996 it was renamed Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the request of Transport Minister Suresh Kalmadi. Its architecture is a blend of Victorian Gothic and conventional Indian elements. It shows stone domes, turrets, pointed arches, curved, lobed, galleries and even gargoyles. This building is unique for its influences characteristics of two civilizations that found in other architectures.

Tourist sites in Mumbai

All Buddhist cave is located north of Mumbai. Caves were created in 9th century and the total number of these caves is 109. Kaju-Raho in Madhya Pradesh

Kaju-Raho is a small town in Madhya Pradesh, accessible by bus from Jhansi. It is well known for its erotic carvings, it consists of 22 Hindu as well as Jain temples, separated into groups.
