Kaju-Raho is a small town in Madhya Pradesh, accessible by bus from Jhansi. It is well known for its erotic carvings, it consists of 22 Hindu as well as Jain temples, separated into groups. Most of these temples date from the late first millennium but have been rediscovered in 1840 and are now classified by UNESCO. Very explicit erotic sculptures are meant to represent everyday life in India.
So don’t wait and plan a trip to Kaju-Raho but do not forget to book your hotel.
